How about some beer fests in October?

Minneapolis is widely known for its craft beer and its diverse and exciting local beer scene. There’s no month with no beer event taking place somewhere in the city and the upcoming month of October is no exception. Here are two of the major events that local beer lovers are looking forward to.

Twin Cities Oktoberfest

Minneapolis and Saint Paul have their own Octoberfest, conveniently named after the Twin Cities. This year the event will take place on October 6th (4pm-11pm) and October 7th (noon-11pm) and will be held in the Progress Center building at the Minnesota State Fair Ground, an impressive structure that is 120 years old. If you head there, expect to have a lot of fun, enjoy live music and traditional dance or play games. Along with a lot of beer, there will be some wine and other refreshments as well, for those who are not exactly beer aficionados. So everybody is welcome and traditional Octoberfest food is served as always.

Going to a beer fest is a great fun, but usually involves beer tasting and some drinking. This is when a reliable ground transportation service comes in handy.

Nordeast Big River Brew Fest

The 6th annual edition of the event will take place on October 7th (1pm-4pm). This is not just another beer fest though, as there’s more than just having fun there – not only that visitors will be able to taste beer and some food from local vendors, but will also do good as all proceeds benefit the East Side Neighborhood Service’s programs. There will be live music, more than 200 beers to choose from and a variety of food to indulge in, and every visitor will receive a complimentary mug.
